Relevant options to enhance
your health

The American Holistic Health Association (AHHA) offers a free monthly Special Updates email report that includes a Featured Research item. The goal is to present research that may be relevant as you (and your healthcare support team) consider health-enhancing lifestyle and treatment options. Through the years AHHA has used a number of sources that generously provided us appropriate research to be included in the eReports. These sources were selected because of their known high standards for evaluating research. One source, Aisle 7, is unfortunately no longer in this database. The new parent company for Aisle 7 discontinued this project and according to our agreement AHHA was required to remove all of their articles.

Heart Disease - Nuts

Increasing the number of nuts (like walnuts and almonds) you eat can add more essential fatty acids, unsaturated fat, and protein, without adding cholesterol to your diet. Researchers say eating nuts will decrease your chances of developing fatal heart disease. You and your physician can review more details in the article, “Eating More Nuts May Reduce Risk of Death” in the July 2013 issue of Natural Standard’s Integrative Medicine Newsletter.
