For the last 35 years, the American Holistic Health Association (AHHA) has been a trusted online resource dedicated to empowering individuals to enhance their health and quality of life. In late 2023, AHHA faced the challenge of needing to shift from volunteer to paid office staffing. The Board of Directors created a task force to evaluate and recommend options for the future of AHHA.

From the beginning, AHHA president Suzan Walter, has been the volunteer head of office operations. She eliminated the need for paid part-time administrative help by creating more efficient ways to reduce the time and effort needed to accomplish many administrative tasks. However, as Suzan was reaching the age of 87, she began finding it challenging to continue handling all of the extensive AHHA operational tasks. Plus, incoming donations to AHHA were not enough to cover paid staffing costs along with keeping up with office operations and the ahha.org website.

The AHHA Board of Directors identified three possible avenues forward:
#1 – Identify and recruit funds to cover paid office staffing, technology for office operations, and the website.
#2 – Identify and recruit a relationship with another organization willing and able to continue AHHA’s legacy.
#3 – Dissolve AHHA.

We ended up with a version of option #2 that allows free access via a static website to AHHA’s key educational mission to connect the general public with the empowering holistic approach to wellness, but without the need for our non-profit organizational structure.

It is our pleasure to announce the organization that will be facilitating the continuation of the AHHA legacy.

We feel blessed to introduce you to KnoWEwell, P.B.C. (KnoWEwell), an outstanding organization known for promoting Regenerative Whole Health. In KnoWEwell, we discovered a kindred spirit. You can learn about KnoWEwell at https://www.knowewell.com.

KnoWEwell has been contracted to convert the AHHA website into a static version that can continue ahha.org as an AHHA legacy website. Then, KnoWEwell offered to keep this static ahha.org site active for the next 25 years!

It was important to AHHA that our members and followers could find an on ongoing source to support achieving their continued health enhancement goals. KnoWEwell has most generously offered a variety of options for AHHA members and followers to have a way to interact with each other and other like-minded people. During this transition period, there will be an outreach program providing you with details of how you can be involved in these new opportunities.

We expect that in early 2025 AHHA as a legal nonprofit entity will be legally dissolved. The Legacy ahha.org static website will have fully replaced the current version. KnoWEwell will have set up a Legacy AHHA community in its Regenerative Whole Health Hub, where friends of AHHA can stay in touch. Former AHHA members will have accepted their invitations to shift to their type of membership without any additional cost to KnoWEwell’s membership with expanded benefits. AHHA followers will have accepted their invitations to receive a free, starter account and monthly KnoWEwell newsletter.

With humbleness, we sense some Divine Choreography in the unfolding of all of the above.

AHHA is grateful for everyone who has been involved with AHHA during the past 35 years – those we have helped and those who helped us be the helper. We also extend our sincere appreciation to KnoWEwell for facilitating the continuation of the AHHA legacy.
