Psychological Aspects of ALS Patients and Their Primary Caregivers

This 1992 report summarizes the results of a study on the psychosocial/spiritual status of 144 patients with ALS and their primary caregivers. It was written for participants in the ALS Patient Profile Project, but anyone with ALS or caring for someone with ALS will find information in this report useful.

This peer-reviewed technical paper reports the results of survival analysis in 144 patients with ALS and demonstrates the importance of psychological factors in survival time in this disease.
